“I just wanted to let you know that I really loved your presentation!”
This was one of the messages I received in my LinkedIn inbox after having taught a guest lecture at the Hogeschool Utrecht University.
Such a privilege for me to be one of the guest lecturers, alongside Ellen Tolsma of Rabobank, invited by Hedde and his colleague Lars.
We spent some time discussing the Situational Leadership II model by Ken Blanchard, followed by some fun stories to help provide a few very practical examples for what that can look like outside the classroom.
After I shared some stories with the 50+ students, one of my questions to them was:
“What would you have done if you found yourself in my role?” and I realised they would have made less of a mess of some of my past mistakes than I did at the time.
Thanks again to Hogeschool Utrecht for the invitation, and thank you for your trust to all the students. Your future is bright!
In case you misssed it, here’s my mission in just 4 words…

Bonus question if you made it all the way to the bottom of this post: what country am I referring to in my story in the picture?
Bonus bonus question for the really hawkeyed ones: what city?
